Dr. Wykstra is a Board-Certified General Surgeon with 20+ years of experience. His practice encompasses a broad range of general surgery including, but not limited to, skin and soft tissue masses, hernias, gallbladder, digestive tract, and thyroid disease. He enjoys minimally invasive or laparoscopic surgery including robot assisted surgery. He also has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant breast disease. He provides surgical services at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and served as the cancer liaison physician to the American College of Surgeons for the cancer committee for many years.

He moved to Waycross 16 years ago and considers Waycross his home. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Terra, and their six children. He attends Destination Church in Blackshear. If you have met him, you know that he is a very compassionate and giving person.
